Dr. Tivis graduated from St. Augustine's Health Science Center for Physical Therapy in 2019, receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Dr. Tivis achieved full certification in dry needling from head to toe through the Master of Dry Needling program in 2022. Dr. Tivis thoroughly believes a hands-on approach is best for your success in finding pain relief and utilizes his understanding of joint mobilizations and manipulation to enhance mobility. Dr. Tivis married his lovely wife Joanna in 2020 and they moved to Lubbock soon after. They currently have a boy named Oliver and a girl named Lorelai. They enjoy family time outdoors, exercise and fitness, and walking their two dogs Bexley and Asher.

Joanna is the marketing specialist and website manager for Tivis Dry Needling. She attended Texas A&M University and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Health. Shortly after graduating, she pursued and thrived in medical device sales. She enjoys baking, reading, working out, and taking care of her children, Oliver and Lorelai. Joanna also owns and operates Jo's Doughlights Bread and Bakes, where she specializes in sourdough products.
